OAC
uses a broad array of problem solving techniques through
which to guide the development of effective exchanges of ideas to
facilitate resolutions to complex and divergent issues.
They include, but are not limited to:
- Methods
for resolving confrontational and distracting influences.
- Using
metaphors to produce results.
- The
use of complex equivalents to build rapport, reduce friction and to
promote proper and effective bonding in support of a mission.

use of communication strategies and protocols..
- Establish
roles for team members.
Resolving
disputes, disagreements, and divergent views requires a degree of
finesse that develops out of both experience and training.
OAC has an established protocol for this function that includes:
- Establish
behavioral protocols for addressing conflicting views.
- Monitor
responses, calibrating for changes in verbal tones.
- Identify
people who use counter exampling techniques, match, and switch.
- Direct
the conversation so that underlying desires are revealed.
- Support
the recognition of higher levels of intent.
- Elevate
the discussion to determine if conflicting ideas support similar
goals.
- Use
techniques to achieve uniform commitment to mutually beneficial
outcomes.
Producing
Draft Reports

a draft for permanent record is normal practice for our firm.
Final drafts are provided to the clients for all reports and
activities.

and other material as requested by the client.
Agenda

A
good agenda can be used as an excellent tool for the
facilitation of meetings.
If properly defined and refined, it can serve as the
guide through which the meeting can fulfill its purpose.

OAC's process for defining and refining an agenda is as follows:
- Identify
the desired outcome associated with the meeting.
- Communicate
so that the group possesses a shared image of the desired outcome.
- Identify
major objectives i.e. decisions to be made, progress to be reported,
discussion topics.
- Allow
a specific amount of time to accomplish each objective.
- Review
the order and content of items contained on the agenda to timing and
placement.
- Future
pace the desire outcome.

Meeting and Conference Support when performing Technical Facilitations is
provided
as in response to the client's need, but may include the following:

When
recording discussions and content that occur during
the course of a meeting is required, OAC's will be prepared to
accommodate the client's needs.
- Recording
equipment can be provided as needed.
- In
meetings where confidentiality or secured or proprietary data is being
discussed, meetings may be held in secured rooms.

for the taking of meeting minutes can be provided.
Meeting
Planning

OAC
provides services related to debriefing and overall meeting planning
to clients on a regular base.
- Debriefings
are conducted at the beginning and closing of all OAC projects, when
major milestones are met, when additional information or clarification
is needed and at any other time during the course of the project,
pursuant to the client's request.
- Agendas
for debriefings are developed.
Objectives are documented and their status is discussed.
- On
site visits prior to scheduled meetings may be required so that
facilitators are familiar with existing conditions.
- The
proper atmosphere is always important.
The appropriateness of facilities and equipment are checked in
advance of meetings to assure that the environment adequately supports
the activity.
- OAC
materials needed for meetings are reviewed to assure that ample supply
is available.
- In
cases, where custom tools and aids are necessary, necessary planning
for debriefings and meetings will occur prior to the meetings
scheduled date..

Reports

Preparing
drafts and final reports
for presentation, is a normal part of OAC's closing process.
When
final reviews have been conducted, OAC incorporates requested changes,
prepares documents for printing and binding, coordinates the production
and distributes reports to parties designated as recipients of final
copies.
